Reaching Out

How can we reach a world we never touch?  How can we reach them if we never show them love?

The story of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:30-37 gives a clear picture of God's desire for us to help those who are desperate need. After finishing the description of the kind Samaritan man who helped the hurting man, Jesus spoke "Go and do likewise." An organization called Samaritan's Purse has done just that! They fulfill Christ's utmost command through serving others who are sick, poor, and suffering. This ministry is all about Jesus!

Operation Christmas Child is a project organized by Samaritan's Purse! Their mission is to reach out to children in their own communities with the gospel message. The shoeboxes are packed with gifts and shipped to children outside of the United States. A small shoebox is an incredible opportunity to show the love of God. What goes into the box might be physical and fun, but what come out is spiritual and eternal. Be a part of changing lives through the power of a small gift!

Our church was able to get involved this year, and we have been able to pack shoeboxes. It is a wonderful experience and a great outlet for ministry.

Reach out to a hurting world by participating in Operation Christmas Child. If you don't have the time to fill your own box, you can also give a donation! Giving is the reason for this season!
