An Author’s Plan

Hey, hey, hey! It’s Mikayla, and I certainly hope you are having a great Thursday!

So, I’m my theology class this semester, I’ve been studying about metanarratives—the big story. 

Oh, how we want to know our story! Why are we here? Where are we heading? Why did this happen? Where is God taking me? 

We long to answer these questions. We want to know the full picture. Why? So we know what to expect. So we can see everything coming. 

The idea that God is taking me places is exciting. The fact that, I won’t see anything coming, ESPECIALLY the things that honestly are a hard hit—but are the best things that could happened to me. 

I don’t know where God is taking me…and that excites me! Why? Because He’s GOD! I find so much joy in the surrendered limitations! (post coming about that!)

 I can honestly say, life was hard there for a bit. I mean HARD.  While I have yet to overcome some things, God has never failed. 

Friend, you’re one step away from something AMAZING. It may not come right away, but I believe God is worth waiting for, don’t you think? 

God meets needs. Just take a step back and look at it. God is constantly meeting needs. If you have one that hasn’t been met, surrender it in prayer and trust He will meet it in His time. Sounds complicated? I’ll sum it up for ya…

Okay, so, God is unfailing. That’s just the simple truth. He will NEVER fail you. Perhaps, you may be questioning this…I’ve been there. Trust me! But, you know what? God really works every thing out. It will all fall into place, if only you trust Him. That need? God will meet that, if He hasn’t already. He meets needs needs before you have it. That’s so cool, in my opinion. 

I want you to do something for me…

Imagine that one thing you are currently struggling with. Hold on to that for a second. 

First off, I want you to embrace it. Just grip where you are. What are you learning? What has this taught you, so far? 

God has you here for a reason. I know you’ve heard it a million times, but He really does have a reason for the season! ;) 

What you are currently struggling with—this is a part of a story. YOUR story. The story God has already written. 

I think it’s so cool to think that God has already planned each moment, change and the trajectory of our entire life. He’s looking down on you and the point you are at on your timeline. It’s new for you. Embrace it, because God wants to teach you something through this. 

Page to page, chapter to chapter, cover to cover—God has His finger prints. So, why worry? If we allow God to write our story, why be anxious for what comes next? He’s GOD! Once again, I am very thrilled with what God has been showing me, and I am so happy He’s not done with me! 

Friend, I hope you are holding on to what’s good in life. Hold on to God’s Word. Stay focused on Jesus, because, y’all…that’s the only way you’ll find real happiness. 

As the devil may fight, tell you that God’s abandoned you and this said “story” isn’t worth it—stay true to your Author. Trust Him with who you have been, who you are, and who you will be.
