Study Tips || School 101

Hey guys!

Today I am going to be sharing some school related tips, and if you are a student I hope you find them helpful. These tips are pretty relevant to daily life, so if you aren't in school, you may still want to follow along.

First of all - stop procrastinating. Someone once said, "Procrastination is like a credit card. It's fun, until you get the bill." More often than none, there is always a consequence for procrastinating. If you just take action and "kill the cat" so to speak, you will not regret it.

Secondly, use planners, to-do lists, anything to help you stay organized. Plan your day out. You don't have to plan every single moment of your life, but having a guide definitely helps. Besides, getting to cross things off is so rewarding. For school, I have a specific planner that organizes my class times, when assignments are due, and even more.

Thirdly, ask for help. I'm sure there is someone in your life that has the ability to explain problems, guide you through assignments, or help you study. If you go to school, ask your teacher. Homeschoolers, reach out to your parents. Take advantage of these resources. Don't be afraid to ask for help. It's okay to not be the best at something. A moment of transparency here - I am definitely not the best at math. I can write a paper, read a history book, do a science experiment, but math..yeah it's not my strong suit.

Fourthly, do your best.  While it is perfectly fine to not be good at something, don't use that as an excuse as to why you shouldn't try. Remember, first Corinthians teaches that we are to bring glory to God in everything that we do, even when it comes to math.

Lastly, have fun. Don't stress about grades. It's not the end of the world. We will all have times of failure in our lifetime. Allow yourself to enjoy learning without holding yourself to standards that you simply can't achieve. Yes, you should have goals, but ultimately - grades aren't going to matter in the long run.

I hope all of you have a wonderful school year! God bless y'all. Also if any of you have any tips, please feel free to comment them below!
